Are We Clean Yet? is a catalog of disk cleaners and system-cleanup tools, from utilities that shipped with your operating system to the wave of new apps appearing since mid-2026. It aims to be an encyclopedia, not a review site: entries describe what each tool is, what platforms it runs on, what it costs, and when it appeared.
Why it exists
Since mid-2026, new cleaner apps have been announced at a remarkable pace. Keeping track of them (which are maintained, which already vanished, which features they actually have) is exactly what a catalog is for.
Methodology
- Entries are researched from public sources: project repositories, release feeds, app store listings, domain registrations, and announcement posts.
- Claims carry receipts where practical: announcement records link to the original post and quote it verbatim.
- Dates carry a precision (year, month, or day) when the exact day is not known.
- Corrections, additions, and update suggestions are welcome: use the contact form or suggest a cleaner.
What it is not
- Not a ranking. There is deliberately no score, grade, or leaderboard.
- Not a review. Descriptions report what a tool does and how it is distributed, not whether the author likes it.
- Not finished. The catalog starts small and grows.
