Research notes

Fresh promotional account: reddit account created 2026-09-02, the same day as its first promo post (the '7 Windows utilities' roundup). 'redditor for 1 month' at collection.
Serial utility launcher under publisher name AdamYang: CreatorPhoto, WorkPhoto, Gaming Utility Center, RatePeek, PC Monitor, TidyFiles, NetPeek, InfoHUD, TransMini - near-weekly new apps and updates.
An r/windowsapps commenter accused the whole AdamYang portfolio of having 'the same generic generated look' - accusation recorded, not investigated.
Version cadence: 1.0 (Store release 2026-08-12) -> 'TidyFiles 2.0' launch posts 2026-10-13 -> 'TidyFiles v2.1' announced in own comment replies 2026-10-16.
Tech stack not disclosed anywhere (store-only distribution, MSIX package family AdamYang.TidyFiles_v0sew01rf5kr4).

Earliest author promotion found; portfolio roundup mention (TidyFiles listed as 'file organization') and the account's first-ever post, same day it was created

Oct 13, 2026 r/windowsapps — TidyFiles 2.0: local storage tracking, file organization and reviewed cleanup for Windows by u/maximum-gold-8774

Hi Windows users, I'm the solo developer of TidyFiles. — Intro cliche

It is a paid, one-time purchase with a 7-day free trial, and no subscription. — Virtue

Everything runs locally on the PC. — Trust signal

Empty-folder and AppData inspection are read-only. Personal files are not deleted automatically. — Trust signal

I'd welcome suggestions about cleanup review, storage comparisons, or anything that would make the workflow clearer. — Engagement hook
