Research notes
- One of the two original Wise products: 'Started programming and marketing Wise Registry Cleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner in 2006' (company bio), marketed alongside the registry tool ever since.
- Four-part structure: Common Cleaner (safe junk), Advanced Cleaner (deep per-drive scan incl. browser traces), Slimming System (removes optional Windows extras like sample media and installer caches), and Disk Defrag - an unusual all-rounder for a free tier.
- Briefly sold a 'Professional' shareware tier (visible in the 2009-2010 GOTD-era) before settling back to pure freeware funded by Wise Care 365.
- Versioning is unbroken from v1.x (2006) through v11.x today - a 20-year maintenance line; Microsoft Store presence is only a recent repackaging.
